Our Story
A very warm welcome to the Pain Nurse Network, we are an engaging and vibrant network thats origins date back to 1993.
In 1993 the London RCN Pain Group and the Pain Network Forum combined to form the London Pain Interest Group. This brought pain nurses from across London together to share practice and learning from each other.
In 2020 at the start of the covid-19 pandemic there was a growing need to ensure that specialist pain nurses from across the UK had a platform to learn and support each other. It was here the the London Pain Interest Group was then disbanded and in its place the Pain Nurse Network was formed.
Since then we have brought together pain nurse from across the UK, Ireland and beyond and created a supportive online community. We regularly run a range of educational and supportive events that promote best evidence based practice regarding all aspects of pain and also highlighting the developmental opportunities avaliable to pain nurses.
Why You Should Join the Network
If you are a specialist pain nurse then this is your chance to join a supportive online community that has been designed by pain nurses for pain nurses. Our goal is to support all nurses working within pain management through networking, education and personal / professional development.
We are the only dedicated pain nurse organisation that accept members from across the UK, Ireland and beyond!
